Silent Alarm Clocks - A Peaceful Way to Wake Up

For many people there is nothing worse than the shrieking alarm clock in the morning, nothing can be more unpleasant to wake up to. Surely there must be a better way to be awakened out of your slumbers each morning. Of course the problem is doubled for the person who does not need to get up, imagine having to be woken up by your spouse's alarm clock every morning and then trying to get back to sleep. For this problem there are a variety of silent alarm clocks that make no sound but will still wake a person up on time.

There is another problem with alarm clocks that only make noise to wake people up, people who have hearing impairments or are completely deaf also need to have a way to be woken up in the morning. A buzzer, a bell or a beeper would simply be of no use to someone who cannot hear a sound; a silent alarm clock is the only device that can help with this issue.

There are several different approaches to this problem and a person may try several of them before they find one that works for them. For most people the choice seems to be some form of vibrating device. These devices come in several forms and all of them work to some extent. There are devices that you can place under your pillow that attach to a special alarm clock, when the appropriate time comes the vibrator under your pillow begins to buzz rousing you from your sleep.

If you move around on your pillow or find that this does not work consider trying an under mattress vibrator, when it goes off the whole area of your bed above the vibrator vibrates and shakes you out of your slumber. Of course since the whole bed tends to vibrate it might just wake up your spouse so this might not be a good choice.

Relatively new to the market in silent alarm clocks is the vibrating ring, this device is a simple ring that fits on your thumb. When the alarm goes off it buzzes on your thumb to wake you up, to set the snooze you just shake your hand, of course the more times you set the snooze the harder you have to shake your hand to set it.

If vibration does not work for you, you might want to consider using one of the sunrise alarm clocks. These clocks are designed to gradually increase the level of light in your room simulating the rising sun. Some of the better versions of these clocks add an aromatherapy feature that uses the heat from the light to warm up a felt disc that has been soaked with an aromatic oil to wake you to the scent of your choice.

If you need to have a silent alarm clock to wake you up there are plenty of good choices on the market. With a little testing and patience you can find one that will wake you up on a regular basis without disturbing the sleep of others around you.
